John T. Baun, J.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Baun is a principal in J E Baun & Associates and a co-founder of Professionals Educational Organization, a not-for-profit educational research organization. Dr. Baun is also a National Trainer for Time to TeachTM, a nationally recognized classroom management program, and formerly the Director of Faculty Development for Herzing University. He specializes in educational consulting in the areas of curriculum development and classroom delivery and management in all grade levels, K-12 and post-secondary. He is currently working on research in the area of concentrated learning and brain plasticity and its impact on retention. Dr Baun in incorporates Six Sigma principles in K-12 and post-secondary professional training to maximize efficiency and efficacy of the classroom. He is the author of articles ranging from pedagogy to legal research to model making in theatre..

In order to truly guide students, teachers must couple their teaching with: compassion for both the students and the subject taught, the pursuit of truth, and, finally, the inclusion of morality and ethics into both the subject taught and the guidance one provides.

Dr. Baun holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School, an MFA from Temple University and a B.S. from Clarkson College of Technology.
